How it works
It's simple. You enter our competitions by buying tickets online, or claim a free ticket by post. When the competition ends, a winner is drawn and notified. Plus, every entry helps support Great Ormond Street Hospital.
-
Pick a prize
Browse the competitions and choose one you like. Each page shows the prize, the ticket price, the odds and when it closes.
-
Get your tickets
Buy online or enter free by post. Your numbers are assigned and emailed instantly, and saved to your account.
-
Wait for the draw
When entries close, a winner is drawn - live or by a verifiable automated draw - and notified by email.
Your first entry, step by step
- 1 Find a competition. Browse Competitions - each page shows the prize, the ticket price, your odds and when it closes.
- 2 Choose your tickets. Pick how many you'd like (or pick your own numbers where offered) and add them to your basket. Any "buy more, save more" discount is applied automatically.
- 3 Review your basket. Check your tickets and total. If you have site credit, you can put it towards the order.
- 4 Check out securely. Pay by card through Trust Payments. New here? You can check out as a guest (we'll set up your account as you go) or log in. You'll confirm you're 18 or over - we verify your date of birth.
- 5 You're entered. Your ticket numbers are emailed straight away and saved to your account, and each entry is independently timestamped so you can verify it any time.
- 6 The draw. When entries close, a winner is drawn - live or by a verifiable automated draw - and notified by email. Results go on the Winners page.
Prefer not to pay? You can enter free by post - same chance to win.
Two ways to enter - same chance to win
You can buy tickets online in a few taps, or post a free entry. A free postal entry has exactly the same chance of winning as a paid one - it's never a lesser route. See how to enter free by post.
What happens after you enter
Your ticket numbers appear in your account and arrive by email. Shortly after, each entry is independently timestamped by FreeTSA.org - permanent proof it existed at that moment, which we can't change. You can check any ticket yourself with our ticket checker.
How winners are chosen
Every valid ticket has an equal chance. Some competitions are drawn live on our electronic raffle machine (broadcast on Facebook and YouTube); others use a verifiable automated draw. Either way it's fair and checkable - the full detail is on our Fairness & Security page.
Some competitions also have instant wins hidden on specific ticket numbers, shown up front. If you land one, you're told right away and the prize is sorted automatically.
If you win
We'll email you and arrange your prize. Physical prizes are delivered free, and many prizes offer a cash alternative if you'd rather. Winners are also published on our Winners page (first name and last initial only).
Prefer to enter every week?
A weekly subscription enters you into the Sunday main draw automatically, at the best ticket price - pick a tier that suits you, and change or cancel any time. See subscription tiers.
Free entry, always
You never have to pay to enter. A free postal entry has the same chance of winning as a paid ticket.
Enter free by postPlay your way, safely
You must be 18 or over. You can set spend limits, take a break or self-exclude any time from your account. We show the odds up front and never pressure you to spend - more on Responsible Play.

The basics
How do I enter?
Pick a competition, choose how many tickets you'd like, and check out - by card as a guest or logged in (you'll confirm you're 18+). Your ticket numbers are emailed straight away and appear in your account. The full step-by-step is above.
Do I have to pay to enter?
No. There's always a free postal entry route, and a free entry has exactly the same chance of winning as a paid ticket. See how to enter free by post.
Who can enter?
You must be 18 or over and a UK resident. We verify your date of birth when you create an account, and we're committed to safer play - see Responsible Play.
Can I subscribe?
Yes. A weekly subscription enters you into the Sunday main draw automatically every week, at the best ticket price, with tiers to suit you. You're charged weekly, and you can change tier or cancel any time from your account (you stay entered to the end of that week). See subscription tiers.
Tickets & numbers
How are my ticket numbers chosen?
For most competitions your numbers are assigned at random the moment your entry completes. On some competitions you can pick your own numbers from a grid - taken numbers are greyed out, and a number is only yours once it's paid for.
Is there a limit on how many tickets I can buy?
Yes - each competition has a per-person limit (shown on its page), so everyone gets a fair shot. Many competitions also have a fixed total number of tickets.
Can I prove my tickets are genuine?
Yes. Every entry is independently timestamped (RFC 3161) by FreeTSA.org the moment it's placed. Paste your ticket's code into our ticket checker any time to verify it.
What does "buy more, save more" mean?
Some competitions offer a bigger discount the more tickets you buy. Any discount you qualify for is applied automatically at checkout - there's no code to enter.
The draw & winners
How is the winner chosen?
Every valid ticket has an equal chance. Depending on the competition, the draw is either live (using our electronic raffle machine, broadcast on Facebook and YouTube) or automated (a cryptographically secure, independently verifiable draw). The competition page always says which. Full detail is on our Fairness & Security page.
How will I know if I've won?
Winners are notified by email, and results are published on our Winners page. To protect privacy we only ever show a first name and last initial.
What is an instant win?
Some competitions hide instant-win prizes on specific ticket numbers. Those numbers are locked in and shown on the competition page before it opens. If a ticket you're assigned carries one, the prize is triggered automatically and you're emailed right away - site-credit prizes land in your account balance instantly.
Can the draw be rigged?
No. Live draws are broadcast and archived so anyone can watch them back. Automated draws use a commit-reveal method: we publish a fingerprint of the random seed before entries close, then reveal it afterwards so anyone can re-run the maths and confirm the winner. See Fairness & Security.
Prizes & payments
How do I get my prize?
We'll contact you to arrange it. Physical prizes are delivered free to your UK address. Many prizes also offer a cash alternative if you'd prefer, and some let you choose between several prizes - the competition page makes it clear.
What payment methods can I use, and is it secure?
Card payments are handled by Trust Payments, a provider regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority on PCI-DSS-compliant systems. Every page is encrypted (HTTPS) and we never store your card details.
What is site credit?
Site credit is a balance in your account (from instant-win credit prizes or refunds) that you can put towards future entries at checkout.
Can I get a refund?
If an order is refunded, the related tickets are removed from the draw and the refund is recorded by the payment provider. Get in touch and we'll help.
Playing responsibly
How do you keep it safe and fair?
You can set spend limits, take a break, or self-exclude at any time from your account. We show the odds up front, keep a complete audit trail of every competition, and never pressure you to spend. More on Responsible Play.
Which charity do you support?
Great Ormond Street Hospital. Each competition makes a donation to GOSH for every ticket - the amount per ticket is shown on the competition's page. See our Charities page.
